This summer, American Public Health Association is mobilizing its members to educate legislators and candidates running for office about the need to include public health in the health reform debate and to support public health prevention measures. During the months of July and August, APHA is asking all public health professionals to schedule meetings with legislators in their district offices, participate in town hall meetings hosted by these legislators, and seek opportunities to ask questions of candidates running for office.
If you are willing to meet with your Congressional representative during the summer, you should call right away to schedule an appointment, because their schedules fill up fast.
